Trail Running Races in Spain 2026 (Page 2)

Trail running races are the most natural gateway into the world of mountain racing. They take place on footpaths, forest tracks and natural trails with moderate elevation that allow a steady running pace. Unlike pure mountain races or skyrunning, trail running prioritises course flow over extreme verticality. Spain is a paradise for trail: from the Atlantic forests of the north to the Mediterranean coastal paths, through Extremaduran dehesas and Castilian pine forests. Distances typically range from 15 to 50 km, with elevation gains from 500 to 2,000 metres. It is the ideal category if you come from road running and want to make the leap to trails, or if you are looking for races where you can enjoy running without needing to scramble. Each race comes with its Pack 360 so you only need to worry about training.
