Txulato Trail Zambrana

The Txulato Trail Zambrana is born in 2026 with a clear idea: to join sport, territory and culture. The route links the four villages of the Zambrana municipality (Berganzo, Ocio, Portilla and Zambrana) and highlights their traditional paths, heritage and Rioja Alavesa landscapes. It is organised by the Zambrana town council, with timing by Kronoak.

The long distance is 26.75 km with 1,019 m of accumulated ascent; the short one is 12.9 km with 491 m. Start and finish are at the Zambrana fronton. Places are limited to 300 and registration costs 30 EUR for the long and 20 EUR for the short. Mount Txulato, which gives the race its name, is a classic summit in the area.

Zambrana and Rioja Alavesa beyond the race

The area combines castles, wineries and routes through low ranges. To add more events, see the races in the Basque Country and plan your season with the planner.
