CMG Transgavarres

The Cursa de Muntanya de Girona (CMG) is the big trail festival of Girona and closes the Klassmark calendar. Its flagship, the Transgavarres, links Palamós beach with Plaça de Sant Domènech in Girona across the Gavarres massif. On 15 November 2026 there is also a 21 km Trail and a 13 km Express starting in Girona.

The course

The Transgavarres is 50.3 km with 1,600 m of climbing (3,100 m cumulative), between 6 and 419 m of altitude, 91 % unpaved, with a 7h30 cut-off. The Trail is 21 km with +800 m and the Express 13 km with +500 m, almost entirely on tracks and paths.

From sea to city

The 08:00 start on Palamós beach and the finish in the heart of Girona’s old town give the race its unique character. The organisers state the course is marked with recycled Klassmark cloth and that the Transgavarres has four aid stations.

Girona beyond the race

Girona has its Jewish quarter, the Onyar houses and the cathedral to enjoy after the finish. If you travel along the Costa Brava, discover Palamós and its surroundings. This page uses official Klassmark data; Gravel Run details are not yet published.
