La Pota Roja Cervelló

La Pota Roja is one of the most established trail running events in the Baix Llobregat, less than an hour from Barcelona. Starting and finishing in Cervelló, the race runs through the trails and forests linking the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park with the Garraf massif, offering four distances from 8K to a 42K marathon.

The 2026 edition takes place on November 8, starting from the center of Cervelló.

Four distances for every level

  • Marathon 42K — 1,900m of elevation gain and an 8-hour time limit. The event’s flagship race, with the most technical and demanding course.
  • 24K — 1,100m D+. A mid-length distance combining forest sections and more open terrain.
  • 14K — 600m D+. Ideal for a first taste of more demanding trail running.
  • 8K — 300m D+. The most accessible distance, perfect for beginners.

The course

La Pota Roja’s trails cross Mediterranean forest, forest tracks, and technical sections with roots and loose rock, typical of the Garraf and Sant Llorenç del Munt area. Terrain that calls for trail shoes with good grip, combining panoramic views over the Baix Llobregat with dense forest sections.

Cervelló and Baix Llobregat beyond the race

The Baix Llobregat region offers much more than the race: charming towns, hiking routes through Garraf, and deeply rooted local gastronomy. Being less than an hour from Barcelona makes it easy to combine the race with a visit to the city. Plan your full day with our race planner.

Registration

Registration opens with tiered pricing through wefeelevents.com. The 42K and 24K, having fewer spots, usually sell out before the shorter distances, so register early if you’re after one of those two races.
