Doñana Trail Marathon

The Doñana Trail Marathon is one of the most original flat crossings on the Spanish calendar: 68 km from Seville to the village of El Rocío, following tracks and paths towards the marshes of Doñana National Park. Its 14th edition takes place on Saturday 7 November 2026, organised by OF Sport with the Seville Municipal Sports Institute as promoting committee.

The course

The start is at 08:00 in Parque Vega de Triana. According to the organisers the positive elevation is around 280 m, so the challenge is distance, not slope. Expect track, path and sand towards the end. The first runner is expected at the finish around 13:15 and the cut-off is 20:00.

A race of pacing and patience

Because it is so flat, the race is won (and suffered) through pacing and nutrition. Start conservatively, eat from the first stretch and check your shoes: over so many hours, blisters are the main rival. A mixed pair category and a team category are available.

Sevilla beyond the race

Seville is a great weekend destination: Triana, the Giralda or the Royal Alcázar. If you stay until Sunday you can explore El Rocío and the surroundings of Doñana. Pick up your bib on Friday 6 November (14:00 to 20:00).
