Trail dels Fars
Trail dels Fars is one of Menorca’s great races, part of the Illa dels Trails circuit. The main 46 km race starts at the Cavalleria Lighthouse, on the north coast, and finishes in Ciutadella de Menorca along the historic Camí de Cavalls. The 14th edition takes place on 24 January 2027.
There are three races: the 46 km Trail dels Fars, the 21 km Mitja Marató des Fars (starting at the La Vall car park) and the 12 km Trail Popular (starting at Son Morell).
A route among lighthouses, coves and dry-stone walls
The course links coves, bridle path and dry-stone landscape with the sea always close. The 46K has a 7-hour time limit with cut-offs at each aid station; the finish is next to Ciutadella’s municipal swimming pool. Starts are at 8:00, 10:30 and 12:00 respectively.
January in Menorca
Low season brings mild temperatures, but wind can chill. The rules ask for a thermal blanket, phone, hydration and gels marked with your bib number. Check the mandatory gear checklist before race day.
Ciutadella beyond the race
