Cursa Camí Reial

The Cursa Camí Reial returns on 12 December 2026 to Ferreries, in Menorca, in a very special edition for the town. The route follows the historic Camí Reial, one of the old roads that linked Maó and Ciutadella, crossing the heart of the island through forest, dry-stone walls and Mediterranean landscape.

Two distances for every level

The event offers a 25 km (10:00 start, 4 h 30 min cut-off) and a 12 km (11:00 start, 2 h 30 min cut-off), both starting and finishing at Plaça d’Espanya. The course is marked with orange arrows and tape, with aid stations at km 13 and km 20 of the 25 km and at km 6 of the 12 km. From 10:10 the kids’ races also run on an urban circuit.

A race organised by and for the town

It is organised by Club Atletisme Ferreries together with the Ajuntament de Ferreries and Activa’t i Salut Rendiment, timed by Elitechip and run under the FAIB trail regulations. Bibs are collected on Thursday 10 in Ciutadella or Friday 11 in Ferreries, and race day ends with an optional closing party with paella from 14:00.

Ferreries and Menorca beyond the race

Use the weekend to hike the Camí de Cavalls, drop down to Cala Galdana through the Barranc d’Algendar or stroll around Ciutadella. If you want to keep running on the island, browse the races in the Balearic Islands and plan your season with the planner.
