Bee Backyard Trail Los Berrocales

The Bee Backyard Trail Los Berrocales reaches its third edition in 2026 as one of the reference backyard ultras in Madrid. Organised by the agency Zel21 through its sports sponsorship brand BEE, it tests mental strength, strategy and endurance.

How a backyard works

The course is a 6.7 km loop with about 240 m of positive elevation and each lap has a maximum time of 1 hour. Anyone who is late is eliminated, and spare time is used to rest until the next start. The race is capped at 15 laps (about 100 km): the winner is the one who completes the last lap alone, which may be lap 15 or the last one a single athlete survives.

A tough circuit of singletrack and tracks

Each lap starts and finishes at the Los Berrocales estate. The route runs mostly on single track and forest tracks with short but steep climbs and descents, a profile that punishes quads and mind lap after lap. With a 7:00 start and a 22:00 scheduled finish, the final laps may be run at night.

Paracuellos de Jarama beyond the race

The area is on the edge of Madrid, with easy access from the airport and a wide choice of hotels in the capital and in Alcalá de Henares, a UNESCO World Heritage city worth a visit.
