Trail Races in April in Spain 2026

April is, for many, the perfect month for mountain running in Spain. Spring is in full bloom: trails are in optimal condition, vegetation bursts with colour and temperatures range between 10 and 20 degrees in most race areas. It is the month when the trail calendar fills with some of the country's most emblematic events. Mid-mountain areas offer spectacular courses, and higher elevations become accessible without snow (though in the Pyrenees and Sierra Nevada some may remain on the peaks). April is also the month of spring rains, so it is worth being prepared for fast weather changes.
