Ultra 100K Sierra de Gata

The Ultra 100K Sierra de Gata is a new race debuting on 10 April 2027 in the Sierra de Gata region of Cáceres, in the heart of Extremadura. The organisers present it as “the beginning of something big” after an edition 0 and it carries UTMB 100K status.

Two races: 100K and Trail 20K

The Ultra 100K adds 100 km with 5,436 m D+ according to the official website, through mountains, historic paths, forests and several villages of the region. The Trail 20K (20 km, 400 m D+) is the short option.

A debut with limited spots

As a first edition, capacity is limited. The lowest rate (€90 for the 100K) lasts until 31 December 2026.

Sierra de Gata beyond the race

The region combines stone villages, olive groves and chestnut forests: a good reason to extend the trip.
