Skyrunning Races in Spain 2026
Skyrunning is trail running's most vertical discipline: races where elevation gain matters more than distance. Explosive climbs, technical ridges, high-altitude terrain, and breathtaking landscapes — literally. Spain has a world-class skyrunning calendar, featuring legendary races like Zegama-Aizkorri, Subida a Tágara, and SkyRhune. From vertical kilometers under 5 km to sky marathons of 40+ km with 3,000 meters of elevation gain, here you'll find races that defy gravity. Each race includes its Pack 360 with recommended technical gear (essential in high mountains), logistics, and nutrition specific to short, intense efforts.
