Iberika Trail La Cabrera

The Iberika Trail La Cabrera is a mountain race in the Sierra Norte of Madrid, organised by Enphorma. In 2026 it takes place on Sunday 25 October and offers two routes aimed at runners with some mountain experience: a short, approachable one and a long one with serious climbing.

Two routes

  • Long: 23.5 km with 1,500 m of climbing
  • Short: 15.7 km with 685 m of climbing

According to the rules, the long route has a 4-hour cut-off at kilometre 18 and a 5 hour 30 minute limit to finish. Distance and elevation figures come from the official website, which warns that routes may change.

An autumn trail

At the end of October, mornings in the mountains are cool and the ground can be wet and slippery. With 1,500 m of climbing in 23.5 km, the long route is steep throughout: grippy shoes, a light windbreaker and, if you use them, poles make the difference.

La Cabrera beyond the race

The Sierra Norte is an easy escape from Madrid. To add more races to your season, browse the races in Madrid and plan your calendar with the season planner.
