Mansolea Trail

Mansolea Trail is held every October in Pimiango, a village in the municipality of Ribadedeva at the easternmost tip of Asturias. The race, reaching its third edition in 2026, covers one of the coastal stretches with the richest historical heritage in the region.

A route between cliffs and history

All three categories share the start in Pimiango:

  • Long Race (20K) — the main distance, adding an extra stretch to the short course.
  • Short Race (11.7K) — passes the Pimiango Palace, the San Emeterio hermitage, the ruins of Santa María de Tina and the surroundings of the Pindal Cave.
  • Andarina (11.7K) — a walking version of the same short course, ideal for those who prefer to enjoy the route without racing.

A landscape steeped in history

The route links old mills, wash-houses and viewpoints with sites of great heritage value such as the Pindal Cave, home to Paleolithic rock art, and the ruins of Santa María de Tina, an old medieval monastery by the sea.

Ribadedeva beyond the race

After the race, take the chance to visit the Pindal Cave or explore Ribadedeva’s coastal villages, such as Colombres. Discover other races in the Asturias region and plan your visit with the race planner.
