XII Cross El Arriero

Cross El Arriero is one of those village races that grow on atmosphere alone: 11 leg-breaking kilometres through the Améscoa valley in Tierra Estella, starting and finishing at the square behind the Municipal Pelota Court in Eulate. It is organised by Club Deportivo Urbasa, and in 2026 it reaches its 12th edition on Saturday 14 November at 11:00.

A course between Urbasa and Loquiz

The circuit runs along the southern slope of the Urbasa and Andía Natural Park and the Santiago de Loquiz range, on tracks and trails through beech woods and meadows. It is a popular cross, not a mountain race: mixed terrain, no technical sections and a single aid station. The time limit is 2 hours.

200 places and a lunch for all

Entry is capped at 200 runners, which keeps the atmosphere close. Early entry costs €15 (€20 on the day, up to 1 hour before the start), with separate prizes for locals and non-locals, a draw for local cheeses and a lunch for everyone at the prize-giving. Promotion races for children are held before the main event.

Améscoa beyond the race

Use the weekend to see Urbasa, the Urederra spring and Estella-Lizarra, 15 minutes away. Browse more races in Navarre and plan your season with the planner.
