A technical race between the Garraf and the sea
The Sitges Rock Trail is Sitges’ mountain race, organized by the Centre Excursionista de Sitges. It runs along the trails and paths of the Garraf Natural Park, which are often full of rock, so the organizers describe it as a race for experienced runners beyond distance and elevation. The ninth edition takes place on 27 February 2027, with start and finish at Parc del Rocà.
Two routes for two kinds of runner
The Sitges Rock Trail covers 25 km with 1,000 m of elevation gain, a minimum altitude of 36 m, a maximum of 310 m at Puig d’en Boronet and a cut-off of 3 h 45 min at kilometre 18.5. The Speed Rock, at 12 km and 300 m D+, shares the technical character but mixes in some track sections that make it faster. It starts at 9:15 with a 2-hour time limit.
What to expect on race day
The 25K starts at 9:00. There are aid stations on the course and at the finish, plus a cloakroom and showers, and timing is by chip. Prizes go to the top three overall finishers and the first local finisher. The cap is 250 participants per race, so register early.
Prepare well
Choose shoes with a good outsole for rock, train short repeated climbs and practise technical descents. To fit it into your calendar, see the races in the region or build your season in the planner. Sitges has lodging and restaurants all year, which makes a full weekend easy.
