Hochwald Ultratrail (HoWUT)

HoWUT is the ultra trail of the Hochwald, a large forest in Rhineland-Palatinate close to Trier. Starting and finishing at the Hochwaldhalle in Osburg, it gathers a maximum of 400 runners in a friendly atmosphere.

From 10K to 100 miles

  • 10 and 24 km: to start out or to accompany.
  • 45 km: the middle distance.
  • 100 km (24 h limit) and 100 miles (166 km, 46 h limit): new in 2027.

Race culture

Dogs are welcome on all routes (their handlers are excluded from the ranking). There are showers and changing rooms at the finish.
