Climate in Liguria: The Ligurian coast has mild winters (8-12 °C) and humid, sticky summers: races cluster between March and June and in October-November. In the Ligurian Alps the climate is alpine, with snow from December to March and afternoon storms in summer. Rain is plentiful all year (Genoa is one of Italy's wettest cities), so wet stone is the norm.

Tips for running in Liguria in march

Pollen allergies start in March: if you are sensitive, carry antihistamine and consider a buff to cover nose and mouth.

Days are longer but mornings still cool: a thin thermal base layer under your race shirt can make the difference.

Pine processionary caterpillars are active in March: avoid touching nests and keep distance from caterpillars on the trail.
