Trails de Sorède: the Albères from the French side
Sorède is a Roussillon village tucked at the foot of the Albères, the last Pyrenean range before the Mediterranean. Every 1 November it hosts the Trails de Sorède, a short but intense mountain event two hours from Barcelona.
The Neulos Trail grows in 2026
The main race is extended to 35 km and 2,000 m D+ with new wild trails. It climbs the Pic du Neulos, the highest point of the Albères, via the Chalet de l’Ouillat, Pic d’Aureille, Casot del Guarda and Puig Nalt, then descends through the Vallée Heureuse. The short option is the Trail du Château d’Ultrera (13 km / 500 m D+), which visits the castle ruins.
November between forest and sea
Beech woods, cork oaks and open ridges with the sea below. November weather is usually pleasant, but the tramontane can blow very hard up high: carry a windproof even if you start in a T-shirt.
Beyond the race
Collioure, Argelès and the Côte Vermeille are close by. If you like the format, the Madeloc Skytrail in Banyuls closes November in the same area. See the races in Occitania and plan it with the race planner.
