UTMB: the world final of trail running
Every August, Chamonix becomes the capital of trail running. UTMB circles Mont Blanc over 174 km through France, Italy and Switzerland, with 10,000 m of climbing and a cut-off of over 40 hours.
Getting to the start line
Places are earned with Running Stones from UTMB World Series races, then drawn by lottery.
Mandatory gear
Gear is checked: waterproof jacket with taped seams, two headlamps, thermal layer, survival blanket and water reserve. Test it all beforehand.
