Carrera x Montaña Sierra de Chiva

The Carrera por Montaña Sierra de Chiva is a classic of Valencian trail running reaching its 15th edition on 6 December 2026. It starts at 7:00 from Plaza de las Artes in Chiva and covers paths and natural areas of the sierra around the town, a few kilometres from Valencia.

Three distances for every level

The 61K adds 3,150 m D+, the 35K 1,560 m D+ and the 14K 450 m D+. The long one is a demanding ultra on stony paths and firebreaks, with constant climbs at moderate altitude but a tough profile.

December in the Sierra de Chiva

The weather is cool at the start and pleasant at midday. With a 7:00 start, a headlamp is essential, and a light thermal layer helps in the first hours.

Chiva beyond the race

Use the trip to visit Chiva Castle or head to Buñol and its natural surroundings.
