El Privilegio

El Privilegio is a semi-self-sufficient mountain ultra through the Montes de Toledo and the province of Ciudad Real. In 2026 it takes place on 20 and 21 November with three races: 100 Miles (174 km), 50 Miles (84 km) and 6 Leagues (30 km). It is organised by Club Deportivo Runin926.

Races and schedule

The 100 Miles starts at Santa María de Melque at 20:00 on 20 November, with a 40-hour limit and about +2,500 m. The 50 Miles starts at Santa Quiteria (Alcoba) at 10:00 on 21 November (20-hour limit, +1,150 m) and the 6 Leagues at Piedrabuena at 18:00 (6-hour limit, +480 m).

A navigation and endurance challenge

The route mostly follows well-kept tracks, but it will not be marked: GPS navigation is mandatory. There is a stretch of about 15 km with probably no mobile coverage. Besides the GPS beacon with SOS button supplied by the organisation, you need a headlamp, a thermal blanket, a whistle and a phone.
