Trail El Mazucu Rebulle
El Mazucu is a small village in the municipality of Llanes, at 360 metres above sea level, and every November it becomes the centre of a race run by its own neighbours: the Asociación de vecinos y amigos El Mazucu rebulle. The fourth edition takes place on Saturday 7 November 2026, starting at 10:00 with a cap of 200 runners.
A mountain and limestone course
There is a single race: 13.6 km starting and finishing in the village with about 950 m of positive elevation according to municipal information. The route climbs south into the Sierra del Cuera, passing places such as Cuetu Doblos, El Churru, the Caleyón de Reburdiallu and the summit of Peña Blanca (1,182 m), the highest point. Almost all of it follows mountain paths with plenty of limestone, which the rules describe as very technical. From the top you can see the three massifs of the Picos de Europa.
There are liquid and solid supplies at El Churru (km 4), liquids at Peña Blanca (km 6) and both at the finish. There are no cut-off points, but a maximum time until 14:00.
A village-sized event
The race follows the mountain running rules of the Asturian federation (FEMPA) and has authorisation from the Principality and Llanes Town Council. Bibs are collected at the El Mazucu school, which also serves as meeting point, showers and changing room. Every runner receives a commemorative shirt and a bag of gifts.
Llanes beyond the race
Use the weekend to discover Llanes town, its beaches and the eastern Asturian coast. Explore other events in the Asturias region and plan your season with the race planner.
