Trail Solidari Ciutat d’Alcoi

Trail Solidari Ciutat d’Alcoi is the charity mountain race of Alcoi (Alicante): the entire proceeds from the entry fees go to the fight against cancer. It is run in teams of four runners who start and cross the finish line together, and it runs through the Serra de Mariola Natural Park and the area of the Carrascal de la Font Roja. The thirteenth edition (2026) keeps its four distances: a 43-kilometre Trail, a 30-kilometre Mig Trail, a 22-kilometre Marxa and a 17-kilometre Trail Jove.

A 43-kilometre course

The long Trail starts in Alcoi and climbs into the Serra de Mariola on holm-oak paths, with the peaks of Montcabrer (1,390 m) as the high point of the course. It links around 2,200 metres of positive elevation between sustained climbs and technical stone descents, with the historic snow pits and the springs of the sierra as waypoints. The team format forces you to manage the pace as a group.

A race with a cause

Trail Solidari was created to raise funds against cancer and has turned that cause into its identity: not-for-profit, with local volunteers and a town fully behind it. It is one of the best-loved popular races on the Alicante calendar precisely because of that.

Alcoi beyond the race

Alcoi is a Modernist, industrial city, wedged between ravines and saved by spectacular bridges such as the Pont de Sant Jordi. It is the cradle of the Moors and Christians festival and of the living nativity scene. Nearby are Bocairent and its medieval quarter, and the Pou Clar in Ontinyent.
