La Transpineda

La Transpineda takes place on May 1, 2027 in Pineda de la Sierra (Burgos), in la Sierra de la Demanda. The event offers several distances: 10K, 32K. Organiser: Club Deportivo Tragalpinos.

Course and elevation

The longest distance is about 32 km with an estimated ≈1000 m of climbing. This is an approximate figure rounded to 50 m: the organisers have not yet published the official number, so check it against the profile and GPX before race day. The technical level is intermediate, suitable for anyone who has already run a mountain race.

What to expect in May 2027

Expect mild temperatures, cool mornings and a chance of rain, so a light windproof layer and shoes with good wet grip are sensible. Starting well equipped lets you enjoy the race without worrying about the weather.

How to prepare

Train long runs with a similar amount of climbing to your distance, practise descending in grippy shoes and rehearse the nutrition you will use on the day. If you are unsure about gear, check the Pack 360 on this page: shoes, pack, nutrition and protection for the race.
