Lemoatx Trail

The Lemoatx Trail is the mountain race of Lemoa, in Bizkaia, organised by the Ganzabal Mendi Taldea club. In 2026 it takes place on 15 November with a long course of 25 km and +1,174 m of positive elevation gain.

Race or mountain hike

The event has two formats over the same distance: the mountain hike, which starts at 08:00, and the race, which starts at 09:15. The hike is ideal if you want to enjoy the route without a stopwatch; the race is for those chasing a time.

Basque mountains in autumn

In mid-November the ground is usually wet and muddy, with cool temperatures on the high sections. Shoes with deep lugs, a windproof layer and poles for the long climbs make a real difference on a route with +1,174 m D+.

Complete your season

If you want to add more races in the area, take a look at the races in the Basque Country and plan your calendar with the season planner.
