The Kilómetro Vertical de la Barranca is a classic vertical race in the Sierra de Guadarrama, organized by RSEA Peñalara as part of the Copa de Hierro circuit. Its 7.3 km with over 1,000 m elevation gain ascend from the Barranca Valley in Navacerrada to the summit of Guarramillas (Bola del Mundo) at 2,267 m. Part of the Madrid Vertical Running Cup and Regional Championship.
