Pack 360 - Services
For every race we prepare a complete guide with everything you need. From registration to insurance, including accommodation, gear and nutrition.
What is the Pack 360?
Preparing for a trail running race goes well beyond lacing up your shoes and heading out. You need to register on time, find accommodation near the start line, choose the right gear for the terrain, plan your nutrition, arrange transport and, for many races, get insurance that covers you in the mountains.
The Pack 360 brings all of that together in one place. For every race we cover, we prepare a guide with verified recommendations across the 9 key areas of trail logistics. No more hours spent searching across dozens of different websites — everything is organized and ready for you to decide.

How it works
Using the Pack 360 is straightforward. Here's how most runners make the most of it:
- Choose your race: explore our race finder or browse by region. Every race has its own Pack 360 with recommendations specific to that terrain and date.
- Review the Pack 360: on each race page you'll find the 9 areas with selected products, practical tips and direct links. Filter by what matters to you — no need to read everything if you already have some areas covered.
- Plan your season: if you run multiple races a year, use the season planner to view your calendar, calculate registration costs and generate a combined pack with all the gear you need.
What each area covers
Registration
Opening and closing dates, prices by distance, medical or mandatory gear requirements, and a direct link to the official race website. Many popular events sell out within hours — we tell you when registration opens so you don't miss your spot.
Accommodation
Hotels, apartments, hostels and campsites near the start area, selected by proximity and value for money. We include options across budgets: from race-side campsites to hotels with a spa for post-race recovery.
Gear
Trail shoes, hydration vests, trekking poles, waterproof jackets and the rest of the gear you need. Every recommendation is tailored to the race's specific terrain: high-altitude scree in Sierra Nevada calls for very different shoes than a forest trail in the Basque Country.
Nutrition
Energy gels, bars, isotonic drinks, electrolytes and a nutrition strategy for before, during and after the race. We include estimated quantities based on each race's distance and elevation gain so you can plan your own aid station supplies.
Transport
How to reach the start line by plane, train, bus or car. We list the nearest airports and stations, common connections and estimated travel times from major cities.
Car Rental
Many mountain races take place in rural areas with limited public transport. We offer a car rental comparison tool with the best rates so you can move freely throughout the entire race weekend.
Insurance
Sports insurance with mountain rescue cover and travel insurance with cancellation protection. In trail running, where you're on technical terrain often far from towns, having the right insurance isn't optional — it's part of responsible preparation.
Body Care
Physical body protection accessories tailored to trail running: UV category 3-4 sport sunglasses, breathable technical visors, UV filter buffs and arm sleeves that protect against sun and vegetation. Every recommendation is adjusted to the race's altitude, sun exposure and terrain.
Sun Protection
Topical sun protection products specific to trail running: SPF 50+ sport sunscreen resistant to water and sweat, SPF lip balm and after-sun for recovery. At altitude, UV radiation increases by 10-12% per 1,000 metres, making sun protection not an extra but mandatory gear.
