Climate in Asturias: The Asturian climate is pure Atlantic: it rains more than almost any other Spanish region, and fog is a regular mountain companion. Summer months (June to September) offer the best conditions, with mild temperatures at altitude and less precipitation, though evening storms are frequent and require early starts. May and October are transition months: weather can be good, but you might also encounter summit snow or epic downpours. Winter is harsh, with abundant snow in the Picos closing many trails. Humidity is constant, so forget Mediterranean dry heat: here you run with coolness and fog, which has its mystical charm.
